Position Title: Drafter II, Creo

Position Objective: Prepares complete and accurate detail drawings from rough or detailed sketches or notes for engineering or manufacturing purposes.

Position Description:

1. Works as a team member with other designers, engineers, and suppliers on, but not limited to:

  • Drafting
  • Engineering change process/Drawing changes
  • Design Layout
  • Customer facing/Marketing drawings and models
  • VISIO Stencil management
  • Cost saving programs
  • Project organization and file management
  • Complete basic mathematical calculations needed for design preparation
  • Utilize basic business and M/S product software to supplement Engineering tasks, including Word, Excel, Adobe PDF, SharePoint and other third party product management systems.

2. Use Creo WF 4.0 and Adobe software to provide support to Engineers by preparing detail drawings, assembly drawings, sketches, and diagrams.

3. Contributes to a collaborative, team environment and performs other duties as apparent or assigned.

Competency Assessment:

  • Incumbent demonstrates Creo software process knowledge by ability to generate required drawings that are reviewed and verified on a regular basis by Director of Engineering.
  • Incumbent collaborates cross-functionally to obtain/share project information to complete assigned work.
  • Incumbent's regular and consistent documentation of project activity is reviewed monthly by Director of Engineering.

Position Requirements:

  • Mechanical aptitude with ability to complete basic mathematical calculations.
  • Completion of at least a two year technical program in mechanical drawing and design.
  • Two years of Sheet Metal experience (Modeling Test Required)
  • Must possess understanding of drafting techniques and familiarity with Engineering terminology.
  • Must have experience with Engineering Change methodologies
  • Competency with M/S platform, including MS Word, Excel, and Sharepoint
