Full Job Description
As a nurse, we know you realize all too well how life can be unpredictable. Nothing is ever guaranteed and while we all hope for long life, free of grief and challenges, for hundreds of families in Washington state, this is not their reality.
From either the first labored breaths they tried to take when they were born or later in life, when they were besieged by disease or an accident, many adults require long-term private duty nursing to help them and their families.
However, when a family is under-insured or has no insurance, they rely on the community health programs to help them with the medical costs. And as a result, this can impact a family's abilities to be able to secure enough nurses to help provide the on-going care they need in their own home due to the more attractive wages offered by private healthcare organizations like hospitals. So, our adult family homes in Kenmore, Kirkland, and Snohomish their solution.
And even though the work is challenging finding a team of amazing men and women who believe like us that healthcare should be available to all regardless of their insurance status, the results are immeasurable.
New grads or nurses looking for a change in careers often look into community healthcare because it is truly an opportunity to get back to the roots of nursing taking care of someone who really needs you. It's a job with purpose and noticeable impact.
And if you don't think you have the skills to do this don't worry. If you have the heart, we will provide you with all of the vent and trach training you need from some of the best and most experienced nurses in the State at this very special kind of nursing.
