SCAD seeks a Staff Recruiter to select and recruit outstanding candidates for designated departments within the university.
In this role, you will be responsible for staff selection in departments determined by the staffing manager, prescreen resumes and forward qualified candidates to the department and prescreen, by phone, candidates chosen by supervisors and arrange interviews. You will also be required to facilitate and participate in interviews, evaluate candidates and collaborate with supervisors to make the best selection and complete background checks on all applicants and conduct reference checks as needed. As the staff recruiter, you will collaborate with supervisors to determine staffing needs and make the best staff selection, extend formal offers of employment and initiate paperwork for new hires. It is imperative that you maintain confidentiality of all human resources information both before, during and after the recruiting and hiring process for a position concludes.
Beyond direct staffing requirements, you will also maintain applicant files for reference and retention purposes as well as determine appropriate venues for advertising open positions and develop and maintain contacts with organizations, agencies and community for recruitment purposes. Duties may vary and other duties may be assigned.
The ideal candidate has a proven track record in researching candidates on social media platforms as part of a successful recruiting strategy. He or she has two to three years of experience in human resources and higher education.
