The Security Guard ensures that only authorized entry is allowed to venues and events according to the property guidelines and other criteria established for the safety and security of business owners and patrons.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Enforces client rules and regulations applicable to allowing access to the venue.
  • Verifies identification of patrons attempting to gain entrance to the venue or specific event.
  • Ensures consistent compliance with dress code established for all venue and event patrons.
  • Provides customer service to include basic directions, hours of operation, and general information about the venue and events.
  • Notifies appropriate supervisor or other security personnel of any need for additional security service.
  • Complies with Chesley Brown International philosophy and site-specific directives, orders, assignments, activities, site emergency plans and security plans.
  • Maintains high visibility and consistent standards for authorizing access to venues and events.
  • Cooperates with law enforcement agencies and its officers or representatives when their activities or investigations are related to on-going investigations being conducted. Works to achieve the highest level of cooperation and efficiency possible.
  • Provides timely notification of serious events and incidents to the Security Director.


This position has no supervisory responsibilities.

  • Must pass a drug test and have a clear criminal record.
  • Must be US citizen
  • Must have Class D license


High school diploma required or GED.
