Senior Information System Technologist II – IT COTS Solutions, Ops & Mfg.

This position will report into the RMD DT Operations and Manufacturing Solutions department, which is responsible for providing IT Computer Off the Shelf (COTS) solutions to Operations and Manufacturing and related disciplines within RMD. The Information Technologist Lead will have primary duties that will include but not limited to Leading and Supporting IT tasks such as SW Tool Fulfillment, License Management, Computing Infrastructure / Computer configuration support along with a strong emphasis on technical guidance, cross-functional collaboration in IT and Operations, as well as IT Cyber Security/Test Lab. The Lead will also provide support in coordinating resources, managing team staffing levels, conducting interviews, AOP (Budget) forecasting, and Project Management.The ideal candidate will possess the skills and experience necessary to perform in both functional and technical guidance. The selected individual should be a self-starter with capabilities to identify, plan and support requirements to continuously simplify and improve the supported SW applications and process.
This role will be located in our Andover, MA location. Capped budget relocation will be available to the selected applicant if they are eligible according to company policy.
Minimum Required Skills:
4 years of demonstrated experience in Information Technology SW Tools acquisition, deployment, maintenance, and tool interoperability.
Demonstrated knowledge of computing hardware/software interfaces and performance testing.
Experience implementing and deploying new tools and processes.
Engineering tools administrative and technical support experience.
Highly Desired Skills:
Working knowledge of COTS SW Manufacturing and Operations Simulations Tools.
Demonstrated Project Management Experience.
Demonstrated experience in the Aerospace and Defense Industry.
Possess the necessary people skills to work effectively with all levels of management, peers and subordinates.
Capable of working with multi-discipline teams as well as individually.
Bachelor’s degree in STEM discipline preferred
Any Bachelor’s degree with significant and recent directly applicable IT/technical/STEM work experience will be considered at hiring manager discretion
Non degreed applicants with 14 years recent directly applicable experience will be considered only at hiring manager discretion.
