Post Production Supervisor

The video department at Meredith Corporation produces thousands of videos per year. Our content ranges from original longform pieces to high-quality branded content for Meredith’s advertisers, as well as editorial content for Meredith brands including: People, Travel and Leisure, InStyle, Shape, Food and Wine, Parents and Martha Stewart Living.
Meredith Studios New York is seeking a Post Production Supervisor to manage the day to day of our Post-Production team and the delivery of a high volume of content, across all our brands. This person will manage and help further build a team of editors, assistant editors, motion graphics designers and freelancers.
The ideal candidate will have a thorough understanding of Post software (Adobe Suite and DaVinci Resolve), Post production workflows, reporting labor/utilization and a passion for managing people.
II. Essential Job Functions
Running the daily operations of the Post facility.
Maintaining a collaborative relationship with Executive Brand Producers and acting as a conduit between the brands and Post Production.
Tracking and managing a high volume of edit, animation and color work coming out of our offices in New York, Alabama and India.
Mentoring and managing Assistant Editors, Editors and Post Producers.
Managing and expanding our cloud based editing program (training will be provided).
Working within our Media Asset Management system (training will be provided).
III. Minimum Qualifications and Job Requirements | All must be met to be considered.
Specific Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- 5 years + Post Production experience, at a large network, production facility or agency.
- 2+ years of experience in a managerial role, managing several editors simultaneously.
% Travel Required (Approximate):
- Familiar with all aspects of the post-production process, including but not limited to, story editing, color, audio, motion graphics, delivery, and archiving/ cataloging
- Deep understanding of Adobe Premiere, After Effects, DaVinci Resolve and other post production tools.
- Editing experience.
- Advanced knowledge of digital media formats and working with Macs.
- Excel experience a plus.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Calm under pressure.
- Strong attention to detail and follow-up.
