Is Seeking a motivated Licensed Optician or Apprentice to work in a fantastic clean, friendly, and organized office with a great patient base.
Description Of Position:
Assists patients in ordering eyeglasses, uses computer to process orders, dispense eyeglasses and contacts and oversees apprentices. Provides prompt and courteous member service.
Daily Tasks and Responsibilities.
* Assists patients choosing eyeglass frames and lens options appropriate to the lens prescription.
* Measures patient's pupillary distance using pupilomter and observes line of site to determine bifocal placement.
* Rings up orders and over the counter merchandise.
* Checks contact lenses and completed eyeglasses against prescription prior to dispensing to member. Fits and adjusts eyeglasses to patients using appropriate tools.
* Stocks merchandise and supplies. Follows department procedure's and standards for production, record keeping, merchandising and product storage.
* Cleans department by spraying, wiping, mopping. Empties trash.
Ma state license as a Dispensing Optician or National Certification required.

Pay: $39,000.00 - $65,000.00 per year
