DESCRIPTION OF DUTIES/ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Candidate will primarily be responsible for assisting the Assistant Director of Human Capital Management with timely drafting letters, presentations, policies, procedures, directives covering a myriad of topics including regulatory or aviation related laws and personnel matters. Clerical responsibilities will include maintaining the Assistant Director's budget, calendaring and maintenance of internal team budgets, schedules, projects, internal dockets and establishment of the same. They will also respond to written and telephonic correspondence and assist with proof reading outgoing correspondence, proposed policies and other departmental publications. The candidate will assist with the coordination and preparation of timely departmental responses to third party complaints, assessments, audits and charges.
This individual will assist with departmental studies and research in support of its strategic objectives and will have an opportunity to contribute the development of initiatives. The candidate must be able to perform analytical tasks toward establishing business cases for HAS goals and strategic initiatives and author legal quality correspondence using all applications in Microsoft suite. As an integral partner to the HAS team the candidate will be responsible assisting with the preparation and maintenance budget and travel in support of the Assistant Director of Human Capital Management.
Assist with the revision and updates internal HAS regulatory requirements, policies, guidelines, practices and their compliance with all applicable laws observed by HAS including the FAA, Title VII, VI, ADA, TPIA and etc.
There are occasional minor discomforts from exposure to less-than-optimal temperature and air conditions. The position may involve dealing with modestly unpleasant situations. There are no major sources of discomfort, i.e., essentially normal office environment with acceptable lighting, temperature and air conditions. Skilled technician in a hands-on environment and may have on-call responsibilities and rotating shifts.
Requires a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Liberal Arts, or a related field.
Three years of administrative experience are required. Professional administrative experience may be substituted for the above education requirement on a year-for-year basis.
Preference will be given to candidates with at least 5 years continuous experience within a law firm or office or another professional environment. Advanced degrees in relevant areas such business, analytics, or administration will be preferred. Strong proficiency in the following software: Microsoft Office Suite products, Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP), SAP and advance level of Project Management a plus.
