Great Lakes Chemical Corporation, (A Company of the LANXESS Group), is currently seeking an enthusiastic, motivated, and talented individual for the position of HR Generalist II based in our El Dorado, Arkansas facilities. This position will be responsible for partnering on a daily business with operational leaders and employees to execute the goals of the plant while providing Human Resources Services to 3+ South Arkansas facilities. Reporting to the Manager of Human Resources you will ensure implementation of broader policies, procedures, and adherence to external regulations including affirmative action, payroll processes, compensation, and benefits while performing your daily tasks in a fast paced production environment.

Responsibilities:
Job Responsibilities (including but not limited to):
Providing effective customer support to resolve wide variety of inquiries from employees from all areas and levels of the operation
Providing advice and counsel to managers on a variety of topics to optimize employee engagement, team development, and organizational effectiveness
Assisting leadership with performance management, recognition and discipline; making recommendations on compensation actions
Ensure timely and effective staffing of exempt and non-exempt positions
Conducting investigations and recommending appropriate corrective action if needed
Objectively assess and bring to resolution employee relations issues
Provide counsel regarding employee engagement trends/data to organizational leaders
Ensure compliance with the Lanxess Code of Ethics and related policies

Qualifications:
Job Requirements:
BS/BA in Human Resources, Business, or related field
5-8 years of HR Generalist experience reflecting progressively increasing responsibility in HR
Experience working a manufacturing environment
Knowledge and understanding of Federal, State and Local Employment laws and regulations
Practical knowledge of general HR functions such as Benefits, Compensation, Employee Development, Recruiting and Performance Management
Demonstrated skills leading change through organizations in HR roles
Experience managing conflict and diffusing difficult situations
Effective communication skills, both verbal and written and strong interpersonal skills
Proven customer focused experience and excellent judgment
Strong analytical and systems skills
Must work well under pressure and have the flexibility to manage multiple demands
Must be self-motivated and a continual learner
Ability to work in a constant state of alertness and in a safe manner
Ability to perform multiple functions simultaneously
