Amazon.com is looking for a motivated Global Business Operations analyst to join its Infrastructure Delivery team to manage & scale one of the world’s largest and most complex networks. Within Amazon Web Services (http://aws.amazon.com), our goal is to become “The Infrastructure Platform” to the world. Our customers demand the highest quality and reliability for their services. We are looking for innovative ways to deploy and scale our network as we expand, while driving complex issues to resolution.

As a member of the Infrastructure Delivery Global Business Operations team, you will be responsible for operational analysis and reporting. This includes supporting business owners within our organization to build, expand and innovate our Cloud data centers. You will help lead the transformation and continued growth of the organization by delivering key analysis, process improvements and operational reporting for Weekly Business Reviews. Your role will require working with all organizational levels and groups including network deployment staff, network scaling staff and other project management teams, as well as external vendors. A solid background in network operations planning, technology deployment, project management and operational analysis is essential for your success in this position. You must be able to command the intellectual respect of business leaders and engineers and run extremely effective projects on compressed timelines while dealing with ambiguity with grace and maturity. You should be passionate about producing effective analysis, process improvements and metrics development enabling management to make breakthrough decisions and ultimately delight our customers.

Main Responsibilities:
As a member of this team, you will work with the Global Business Operations leadership and the Infrastructure Delivery team to:
Report ad hoc, weekly and monthly operating metrics.
Conduct Operational Analysis.
Serve as a key team member to drive reporting process improvements and automation.
Analyze business and project results for key takeaways to achieve business objectives.
Processing, cleansing, and verifying the integrity of data used for reporting and analysis.
Ad-hoc analysis and presenting results in a clear manner
Report weekly, and monthly operating metrics.
Basic Qualifications
BS degree and experience in an Analytics/Operations/Finance - related fields
Ability to structure problems, perform analysis, and present to your business partners. Supporting business partners at Amazon requires the ability to dissent, while building trust with your business partners.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (both verbal and written) and proven ability to work effectively with all organizational levels.
Ability to succeed and thrive in an entrepreneurial environment and not be hindered by ambiguity or competing priorities.
Demonstrated ability to influence and develop productive working relationships.
Exceptionally strong written and verbal communication skills.
Process oriented with strong organizational, multitasking, and prioritization abilities.
Preferred Qualifications
Ability to work independently, self-motivated and strive in a fast-paced and rapidly changing environment
Advanced modeling skills including advanced VBA / Excel skills
Solid business judgment
Strong written and verbal communication skills with a customer focused, professional demeanor
Ability to work independently and self-motivate in a fast-paced and rapidly changing environment.
Ability to quickly understand in-house custom systems and data associations
Tableau certification or 2-3 years Tableau experience preferred
Knowledge of SQL, relational databases, and C# a plus
Good applied statistics skills, such as distributions, statistical testing, regression, etc.
Proven ability to meet tight deadlines and prioritize workload
A work ethic based on a strong desire to exceed expectations
