Full Job Description
This position contributes to Starbucks success by being the brains behind building the new Coffee Innovation Park (CIP) with a state-of-the-art facility in China. This will be Starbucks' largest manufacturing investment outside of the U.S. and its first in Asia. The CIP will incorporate a roasting plant, warehouse and distribution center that will further drive smart and sustainable coffee manufacturing in China. The plant will serve as a key component of the company’s global roasting network.
Leads and coordinates work of a broad team of cross-functional partners across sourcing, technology, logistics, manufacturing & engineering, commercialization and planning. Responsible for program reports and dashboards, and accountable to the program sponsors and steering committee.

Summary of Key Responsibilities

Identifies and communicates key responsibilities and practices to ensure the immediate team of direct reports promotes a successful attitude, confidence in leadership, and teamwork to achieve business results
Supports the implementation of company programs to ensure the success of the Company.
Planning and Execution
Developing strategic and operational plans for the work group, managing execution, and measuring results:
Prepares, communicates and educates client groups and team on changes in policies and practices within the organization
Plans and manages business unit and department processes and practices to ensure that programs are aligned with company business goals and objectives.
Provides decision making for dependencies or conflicts across projects within a BU or across BUs
Serves as escalation points for program and project managers in a specific business portfolio
Works closely with steering committee and business leaders to ensure strategic programs are delivered according to defined success criteria
Provides corrective action for in-flight programs and associated projects in a given portfolio (if necessary)
Drives process improvement and maturity in the program management processes and provide/implement best practices for program management.
Provides detailed capacity management of the portfolio to deliver projects, including technical team resources, and calls out gaps to senior leadership
Manages dependencies with other BUs
Drives AOP & planning process in collaboration with the others
Facilitates governance of project management execution to enhance quality and timeliness of solution delivery initiatives.
Monitors, measures and reports on effectiveness and results of project management team.
Providing functional expertise and executing functional responsibilities:
Leads program teams with planning for solution delivery for programs and projects.
Assists with allocating resources program strategy and priorities.
Partners broadly with other cross-functional leaders to arrange matrix resources to achieve deliverables.
Partner Development & Team Building
Providing partners with coaching, feedback, and developmental opportunities and building effective teams:
Challenges and inspires team members to achieve business results.
Conducts and ensures the completion of performance reviews.
Ensures partners adhere to legal and operational compliance requirements.
Oversees training and development of partners directly and indirectly managed and makes effective staffing decisions.
Provides coaching, direction and leadership support to team members in order to achieve partners, business and customer results
Works across business unit and functional lines to create a cohesive working team, build relationships and deliver programs and associated projects.
Summary of Experience Years
Project, program and portfolio management (10 years)
Food plant/ manufacturing start up experience is a plus
Progressive supply chain experience in a global, multi-unit and high-growth profile (5 years)
General management and people capacity management (5 years)
Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Ability to apply knowledge of multidisciplinary business principles and practices to achieve successful outcomes in cross-functional projects and activities
Strong problem-solving skills
