Job Description:
As a Guillotine Operator/Laminator, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the precision and quality of our printed products. Your primary responsibilities will involve operating advanced cutting and laminating equipment to produce accurate, high-quality materials that meet our clients' exacting standards. This position requires a strong attention to detail, the ability to follow precise instructions, and a commitment to maintaining a safe and organized workspace. Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Insert lifts of sheeted labels into cutting machine to trim off edges and cut labels into rows.
- Program cut points and clamp pressure to ensure labels are cut into correct size.
- Jog and straighten all sheet lifts once inserted into the machine so all sheets are cut accurately.
- Remove flawed products and dispose of excess trimmings into proper bins.
- Install new slitting blades as needed to produce clean and smooth cuts.
- Count bundles of cut labels to ensure order sizes are accurately met, load bundles onto skids.
- Responsible for housekeeping and cleanliness of work area/production zone.
- Related duties as assigned.
Education and Experience:
- At least 2 years of related experience required.
Qualifications:
- Exhibits a safety-first attitude in all that is done, from proper personal protection equipment compliance to keeping the work environment safe and hazard-free. Compliance with all workplace and safety standards required.
- Competence in counting, measuring, and quality checking.
- Detail oriented and can focus for long periods of time.
- Ability to read and follow all specifications.
- Capable of working in a team environment and alone with a high sense of urgency.
- Ability to stand and move around work area for long periods of time.
- Possess skills to prioritize, multi-task, and work in a fast-paced environment.
- Creative thinker, willing to share ideas for process improvements
- Exhibit high integrity
Physical Demands:
- Stand for long periods of time.
- Lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
- Walking and standing throughout the day as necessary to perform job duties
- Ability to multi-task (i.e., operator multiple presses at same time)
- Mindful of safety risks. Report all safety issues.
Work Environment:
- Regular exposure to dust and noise in the production environment.
- Warehouse environment temperatures may be influenced by outside temperatures.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $21.00 - $27.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
