IT Project Manager – Maximo Implementation & Support (NA & LatAm )
Deerfield, IL (Flexible Work Arrangements Available)
Baxter has taken a strategic decision to standardize all plants across global regions on a common CMMS & Calibration system MAXIMO (Computerize Maintenance Management System), an IBM software.
As IT Project Manager, you will a) lead the system implementation in the Americas region with the support of internal / external resources and b) participate in the day-to-day support of the existing implementations, including 18 locations and 2,000 users, covering both North America and Latin America.
Partner with Plant IT, Engineering, Production and Quality Staff.
Key contributor to the roll out and development of the software.
Work with users of the Process Control Systems and ensure the direction/implementation meets the quality/production requirements.
Report directly to the Global IT Manufacturing Director, focusing on the Americas region and working closely with MAXIMO EMEA team members, regional IT leaders and the plant leaders.
Manage the MAXIMO implementation for UCAN / LATAM regions.
Coordinate with regional IT leaders / plant IT managers to drive standardization/regional best practices in manufacturing IT programs, both in technology and functional.
Monitor the performance of the existing MAXIMO system across appropriate run metrics (availability, technical performance, etc.) and take lead in reporting regionally and globally as needed and in coordination of appropriate resolution.
Translate business requirements to MAXIMO software solutions
Assist in estimates of implementation project activities.
Provide product focused leadership for functional area assigned.
Drive standardized business processes among manufacturing systems/functions to simplify business processes using industry experience.
Work closely with management to understand and prioritize business goals and information needs, including translating needs to functional systems requirement documents and design specifications.
Support engineering leadership in identifying operational opportunities for continuous improvement.
Determine value assessment/business drivers for process improvement within manufacturing IT.
Ensure regulatory compliance.
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in appropriate discipline.
Engineering or Manufacturing Operational experience desired
Experience in applications in Pharmaceutical or Food Industry
5+ years’ experience in Maximo system implementation.
Demonstrated results in working independently as well as within multi-disciplinary teams.
Proven ability to manage software implementations across multiple, global locations, with a strong ability to interact effectively within a multidisciplinary and diverse team.
Effective interpersonal, leadership, organizational, technical, and problem-solving skills.
Strong understanding of Maintenance / Procurement / Calibration / Finance processes.
Ability to travel up to 20% of the time.
