It is the primary responsibility of the Lifeguard to ensure guest safety in the pool areas while providing excellent customer service by providing a greeting upon arrival, distributing towels, and offering assistance with seating. All duties are to be performed in accordance with departmental and Property policies, practices, and procedures.

Provide guest safety by watching over the water and deck area and responding to emergency situations as needed.
Ability to direct guests to key locations within the Property pool, including emergency exits and procedures.
Proactively greet all guests as they enter the pool area and throughout the pool deck.
Interact with guests while adhering to Company customer service standards.
Assist all guest with seating in the pool area.
Maintain attentiveness to the environment in the pool facility to enhance guest experience.
Display knowledge of the pool facility to include hours of operation for pool and Food and Beverage outlets as well as general pool information.
Demonstrate knowledge of Property amenities, restaurants and casino as well as other MGM Resorts International properties
Maintains the cleanliness of the pool deck and facilities.
Responsible for the daily set up and break down of the pool area, including pool furniture and linen.
Perform all other job related duties as requested.

Lifeguard/CPR/AED Certification.
First Aid Certification.
Excellent customer service skills.
Have interpersonal skills to deal effectively with all business contacts.
Professional appearance and demeanor.
Work varied shifts, including weekends and holidays.
Ability to effectively communicate in English, in both written and oral forms.

High school diploma or equivalent.
Previous experience working in a similar resort setting.
