The key responsibilities for this position include serving as the primary interface among the Undergraduate Services Office, the College of Engineering’s Academic Affairs Office, the Registrar’s Office, and the registration system. Advising duties to include one-on-one and group advising; consistent and accurate communications with students; confidential, consistent and accurate maintenance of student records and review for graduation requirements.
- Associates degree or equivalent;
- Strong computer and data processing skills;
- Strong organizational, written and verbal communication skills;
- Ability to make sound decisions, manage and convey confidential information while adhering to Virginia Tech policy and FERPA regulations.
- Previous experience in an academic environment;
- Experience working with a diverse population
