As an inside sales professional, the primary purpose of the Account Executive (AE) is to meet revenue growth goals within their respective territory by cold-calling on new business for retaining existing account revenue, and
cross-selling new services while expanding utilization of existing services within their current customer base. These goals will be complemented by the opportunity of joint sales efforts with their Regional Sales Manager and
Director of Sales. Additionally, the Account Executive base that will drive territory revenue to exceed sales goals and quotas.
Responsible for generating new revenue within an assigned territory as well as retention responsibility for existing accounts
Daily cold calling and sourcing for new business for IkonGPS
Maintain monthly sales contribution goals through new business sold, cross-selling, account retention, and account penetration
Analyze and qualify current customers in areas of potential new revenue opportunities, volume of use, service types and competitors utilized
Meet territory net new sales quota and retention quotas as detailed in the Proprietary Sales Incentive Plan
Retain defined client base of accounts and associated revenue through an appropriate level of contact with clients
Actively participate in weekly sales huddles and monthly team meetings
Ensure required weekly and monthly reports are completed accurately and on-time
Maintain a detailed account update in the contact management software
Meet minimum productivity requirements in regard to territory management and quality contact with customers
Use customer feedback to monitor the status of service levels, identifies problems and revenue growth potential within the business
Must possess strong negotiation skills
Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint, Webex
Possess solid verbal and written communication skills
Must be detail oriented with a high level of organization
Work in close proximity to others in department.
Sitting for extended periods of time.
Education and Qualifications:
High School Diploma required; Bachelor’s degree preferred
Equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered
3-5 years of successful sales experience
Sales experience in a phone-based environment preferred
Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence and memos. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and correspond through email.
