Position Objectives
Employees in this classification are responsible for moderately complex to advanced administrative duties that support efficient operations of the Finance Department, quality customer service, and continued workflow. Work includes the ability to multi-task in a fast paced environment. Includes considerable exercise of independent judgment and initiative in responding to and resolving customer service issues. Performs work necessary to support the activities of the Department Director. Serves the Finance department (including citizen contacts, special projects, planning, budget, accounting, and other department activities) and is responsible for its efficient and effective operation.
Minimum Requirements
High school diploma or general equivalency; with two (2) to three (3) years progressively responsible administrative support experience in a customer service environment that provides moderately complex to advanced skills in the use and application of standard computer technologies (Microsoft Office including spreadsheets); or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.

Two (2) years financial/accounting experience in a municipal setting is preferred. Must have an intermediate level of proficiency in commonly used spreadsheet and database management software programs.

Mandatory contribution of 3% to the Florida Retirement System.
Tasks involve the ability to exert light physical effort in sedentary to light work, but which may involve some lifting, carrying, pushing and/or pulling of objects and materials of light weight (5-10 pounds). Tasks may involve extended periods of time at a keyboard or workstation. Work is performed in usual office conditions with rare exposure to disagreeable environmental factors.
