Job Description

Strategic Analysis is seeking technical support staff with capabilities to help build an emerging program to understand the relationship between human genetic circuits and performance in various military disciplines

Job Requirements

The qualified candidate should possess significant (4+ years) of laboratory experience in understanding genetic analysis, epigenetics, and phenotype-genotype relationships. A PhD in molecular biology, bioinformatics, biomedical engineering, or other relevant field is required, while postdoctoral or equivalent industry experience is desired. Each applicant should have a deep knowledge of emerging trends in DNA sequencing and ideally the candidate would have some knowledge or experience in clinical molecular diagnostic platform development, to include familiarity with implantable or wearable health monitoring systems. The ideal applicant should have excellent verbal and written skills as well as a willingness to learn completely new research subjects (as needed) to support the DARPA BTO mission. Finally, the position will require interaction with epigenetics and molecular diagnostics world leaders in both industry and academia while serving as a representative of DARPA. Candidates with active security clearances sufficient to allow unsupervised entrance and work within theDARPA facility are preferred.

Required Experience and Skills:
Strong technical writing skills
Ability to communicate complex scientific ideas to broad audiences
Laboratory experience in understanding genetic analysis, epigenetics, and
phenotype-genotype relationships
Demonstrate a willingness to explore the scientific literature for emerging biotechnology
Excellent organization, communication and coordination
Proficiency in Microsoft Office products to include Excel, PowerPoint, and Microsoft Word.
Ability to work independently

Must be a US Citizen and have the ability to obtain a DoD Clearance within a reasonable period of time. Active DoD clearance preferred.
