The Transport Driver is responsible for taking clients to their scheduled appointments.
15-20 hours per week- Flexible Schedule
To cooperate with all departments requesting medical transportation services
Setting up the daily transportation schedule, obtaining directions, mapping out the safest and most direct route, but taking into consideration the clients preferences.
Assisting all clients that require help in entering and exiting the vehicle.
Properly securing all wheelchair residents in the vehicle.
Make sure all clients are secured in his/her seat belt.
Escort all clients needing assistance.
Deliver papers to and from physicians’ office and hospitals as necessary for all Care Areas. Passing along and reviewing with medical office staff instructions and special needs of clients as requested by Garden Spot Village Staff.
Completing all forms related to client transportation and returning the forms to the proper departments in a timely manner. Keep in mind that open communication should be kept with GSV at Home Coordinator and Assistant Scheduler with all information regarding clients.
Refuel vehicle as needed.
Maintaining a clean vehicle and requesting vehicle repairs and maintenance as needed. This request should be given to the GSV at Home Coordinator and/or the Assistant Scheduler.
Abides by current laws and organizational policies and procedures designed and implemented to promote an environment which is free of sexual harassment and other forms of illegal discriminatory behavior in the workplace.
Contributes to creating and maintaining a work climate that encourages positive staff morale, motivation and commitment to the mission of the organization.
Carries out other responsibilities as directed by the Supervisor.
Must have vaild drivers license.
Must enjoy working with people.
