Private Bank Director-838585
At Franklin Templeton, everything we do is focused on one thing – delivering better client outcomes. We do that by partnering closely with our clients, assessing their strategic needs, and identifying the solution or solutions that can meet the challenge. Over 12,000 employees working in 34 countries around the world are dedicated to servicing investment solutions for our clients in more than 160 countries. For more than 70 years our success has been a direct result of the talent, skills and persistence of our people, and we are looking for qualified candidates to join our team.
We are seeking to welcome a Private Bank Director within our Private Wealth Division at Franklin Templeton. The Private Bank Director will manage, develop, and drive strategic initiatives for Franklin Templeton, focused on a list of bank intermediaries that include:
Global Private Banks
Independent Investment Banks also focused on Private Wealth Management services
The Private Bank Director role includes proactive business development, representing the full suite of Franklin Templeton’s investment platform, via collaboration with our Specialized Investment Managers. In addition, there is a servicing component aimed at retaining current AUMs and leading to cross-sell opportunities within new and under-developed asset classes.
This client set represents approx. $13 billion of Franklin Templeton assets, and close to $600 billion of total end-client advisory assets.
Also key to this role is a comprehensive understanding of Franklin’s offerings beyond investments (i.e. leveraging Franklin Templeton’s full value chain), as uncovering and addressing clients’ overall business needs is key to long-term partnership success.
What are the ongoing responsibilities of a Private Bank Director?
Drive new business opportunities, primarily through contact with banks’ investment research teams, model portfolio teams, as well as other key centers of influence that can assist with traditional national accounts/business management initiatives.
In addition to new business development, a significant portion of time will focus on banks’ home office research and model teams for maintaining current investment mandates at these client firms, across various FT strategies and vehicles. The Private Bank Director, among other responsibilities, will lead investment reviews, board meetings, SIM engagements, and coordinate investment thought leadership presentations.
In addition, there is frequently a need for more traditional NAM responsibilities, including oversight of selling group agreements and other contractual arrangements necessary to perform business, the coordination with FT field sales (where applicable), raising awareness with key COIs across the firm, driving business strategy holistically, and delivering value beyond the investment relationship.
The Private Bank Director liaises frequently with internal partners to execute on business development, sales strategy, marketing opportunities, client events, and broader partnership growth initiatives.
