About the Role
As a Manager, Customer Marketing within HARMAN’s Shopper Marketing – Americas team, you will be part of a fast-paced and passionate team dedicated to bringing world-class audio brands to life inside our automotive partners; delivering world-class marketing plans and experiences to consumers. You will primarily be responsible for developing and executing a comprehensive Direct to Consumer (D2C) marketing strategy for our leading Automotive Partners. Success will require collaborating with, and supporting, Sales, Automotive Marketing, Brand Engagement, Finance and Procurement to develop world-class D2C programs that are aligned across marketing and automotive leadership.
Functional responsibilities include the creation and execution of all Shopper Marketing (D2C) programs, which include digital, social, experiential, PR, platform, content, website, new vehicle launch and point-of-sale assets that best support our automotive partners in the effective consumercommunication and sale of our branded audio systems. In addition, you will be responsible for building and maintaining strong automotive-client relationships within Marketing, Vehicle Launch Teams, Digital/Social, Dealerships and all functions that connect directly to the end consumer. Lastly, you will be expected to develop and execute Harman brand platforms (i.e. JBL Fest) in partnership with partner Strategic Business Units (Consumer and Pro).
Your Team
You will not have direct reports but will work with global teams.
What You Will Do
Lead holistic D2C marketing plans that build demand for our brands with automotive partners, dealers and consumers by elevating brand equity, driving consumer awareness and consideration, enhancing partner relationships and increasing the availability of Harman products in vehicles.
Lead fully integrated launch support of new vehicles with HARMAN audio systems. Plans include: PR, Social, Experiential, Dealer Experience and consumer-facing media programs.
Lead innovative programs and initiatives to drive increased sales through Point-of-Sale/Merchandising/Customer Programs (pull) and option packaging and incentive (push) programs.
Support the development and execution of annual strategic shopper marketing plans in the Americas.
Identify strategic “tent-pole” marketing platforms that can be activated locally and scale globally.
Lead global comms positioning and asset development in adherence with corporate brand guidelines.
Work with agency partners, creates all D2C marketing assets (print, video, photo, Features & Benefits, Why Buys, etc.) to support marketing programs and sales activities for customer account.
Effectively manage agency partners and project budgets in the execution of all D2C marketing programs.
Creates effective value propositions & brand partnership stories to continuously reinforce the brand and partnership equity of HARMAN to our automotive clients.
Work collaboratively with the Harman Automotive functional marketing team, consumer and professional-SBU marketing teams, as well as Sales and Sales sell-through leaders in a matrixed organization.
What You Need
Bachelors Degree in related field (Marketing, Business, Communication, or Engineering).
Minimum of 7-10 years consumer and/or customer marketing experience.
Consumer first mindset and creative problem solving
Ability to set clear objectives and build strategies to meet those objectives
Proven record of developing and executing marketing programs (B2B and B2C)
Experience in “selling” your ideas to customers, clients and senior management.
Highly organized with a collaborative mindset.
