ABB is seeking a Project Manager, responsible for project execution, customer satisfaction and financial returns for one or more projects involving financial commitments. You will be responsible for: working with our supply chain colleagues to order the necessary parts or other hardware; Engineering Manager to schedule necessary resources; maintaining close contact with our customers and suppliers to understand the customer requirements & insure on time delivery; maintain up to date costs in SAP; and other project execution related tasks. These projects are typically medium/large in size, with short lead times, so require the need to handle multiple projects at the same time (excellent organizational skills are required).
Your responsibilities
Plan, monitor, and control project activities proactively to maximize cash flow.
Assure ABB commitments to customer are met in accordance with contract.
Assure and seek to improve customer satisfaction and feedback through consistent customer interaction.
Work proactively to set customer expectations to assure a smooth project, including acceptance of project deliveries and
timely payment even under challenging circumstances.
Control project cost and cash flow.
Forthrightly present an account of project status/issues in project reviews.
Raise potential project issues to your manager & other relevant stakeholders.
Effectively report project progress or other situations either verbally or in writing to assure desired understanding.
Negotiate change orders and additional sales.
Work actively with a number of suppliers to obtain overall best possible purchase, in cooperation with the supply
management function.
Coordinate or direct project transportation and logistics.
Your background
Basic Qualifications:
Bachelors' degree and 5 years' combination experience in product management and/or operations and/or engineering and/or project management
- A Master’s Degree in required field = Credit given for 2 years of work experience.
- A PhD/Doctorate in required field = Credit given for 3 years of work experience.
Preferred Qualifications:
Bachelors' degree in engineering or related field
Data Center experience
Food & Beverage industry experience
PMP Certification
