Rosemount™ Measurement & Analytical, a business unit of Emerson Automation Solutions, is currently seeking an Accounts Payable Supervisor at our Chanhassen, MN location.

Rosemount™ is a signature brand of Emerson, offering a comprehensive line of measurement instrumentation, analyzers and systems which are used in a wide range of applications found in critical processing facilities such as refineries, chemical plants, power plants, pipelines, and more.

The Accounts Payable Supervisor provides accounting support for multiple manufacturing sites across North America. This position is responsible for ensuring that all accounts payable functions are performed accurately and timely by providing work assignments and training to a staff of Accounting Administrators. In addition, this position performs a wide variety of service and support functions which includes correspondence with vendors, establishing and monitoring accounting policies, resolving discrepancies, analyzing problems and initiating corrective actions.

Job Responsibilities
Supervises and coordinates the work activities of the accounts payable area and evaluates job performance to ensure that job functions are completed accurately and effectively.
Provides training and work direction to assigned personnel as required to ensure full knowledge and understanding of department expectations and appropriate work methods.
Conducts performance reviews, assists in the hiring of new employees, develops and maintains a positive and productive employee group.
Monitors accounts payable metrics and account balances to ensure financial integrity and productivity
Proactively communicates with vendors, Supply Chain personnel, employees, and others to ensure that all questions and discrepancies are resolved accurately and timely.
Develops a strong knowledge of Oracle accounts payable and provide leadership for system enhancement projects in the Accounts Payable area.
Administer travel policies and programs
Performs all other special assignments and related activities as directed

Required Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or related concentration
Four (4) to five (5) years of related experience

Preferred Qualifications:
Supervisory experience including hiring, training and providing performance reviews
Excellent communication, interpersonal and analytical skills. Ability to communicate effectively and work cross functionally with all levels in the organization, including strong internal and external customer service skills.
Excellent spreadsheet application skills; experience with Oracle and relational database applications.
Results-oriented, dependable and accountable for work deliverables and deadlines
Self-motivated, organized, aptitude for problem solving and process improvement
