Contributes to the fulfillment of the CHI Health mission and vision by serving as a designated administrative leader for CHI Health programs and services and in the community. A Responsible for planning, organizing, implementing and directing resources in assigned operational areas. A Includes responsibility for management of assigned service lines and systems of care across and within the continuum and sites, in partnership with physician leader(s). Serves as a role model for ethical management behavior and promotes an awareness and understanding of positive ethical and moral principles consistent with the Mission, Vision and Values of CHI Health.

The incumbent is the President for the assigned campus(es)and service lines reporting to the System Senior Vice President and Chief Operating Officer.A The President works with physician leadership and the Chief Nurse Executive on each assigned campus to lead and manage clinical and operational performance within the hospital(s) and assigned service lines, with shared accountability and a high degree of mutual support required.A The President is responsible for operational performance within all assigned campuses and service lines to grow and develop programs that meet utilization, financial, quality and other operating targets


Responsible for overall operations and services delivery at assigned campus(es); direct all administrative, operational processes at the campus

Provide leadership and support to Service Lines or systems of care directed by other Administrative leaders as they affect the local campus

Lead the development and implementation of a strategic plan / direction for campus(es) and assigned service line(s). A Develop performance metrics.

Maintain a system of management reporting that provides the system with timely and relevant information in all areas of responsibility and oversee negotiations and finalizing of professional, consultant and service contracts in accordance with CHI Health policy

Maintain physical properties on assigned campus(es) in good state of repair and a good operating condition and recommend improvements to facilities including construction, renovation of structures and/or purchases of new equipment and information systems.

Provide leadership and support for the Chief Nurse Executive to ensure effective nursing operations at the assigned campus(es)

Participate as a member of the System Leadership Council and Operations Team; attend management and other meetings as needed.

Lead initiatives to assure operational effectiveness and efficiency, including resource allocation and operational process improvement.A Assure appropriate resource utilization.

Responsible for coordination of accreditation and licensure activities and oversight of quality assurance/improvement initiatives for assigned campus(es) and service line(s).

Develop and implement operating and capital budgets in support of strategic plan within campus(es) and assigned service line(s)

Initiate and manage physician relationships. In coordination with the Chief Nursing Executive, appropriate Medical Director(s) and service line leaders, manage contractual and business relationships with physicians

Provide administrative leadership and administrative support to the elected medical staff.A Coordinate with the Chief of Staff and Chief Nurse Executive to assure appropriate representation on all relevant Committees / Task Forces

Build a culture of teamwork and excellence among employees and staff; lead employee engagement initiatives and assure patient satisfaction within established targets

Assess leadership potential among staff; initiate leadership development activities to build future leaders

Actively engage with the community and community organizations to promote good public relations and to ascertain community needs as appropriate.A Represent CHI Health within the community; coordinate efforts for philanthropy at assigned campus(es).A Support the auxiliary and charitable council in philanthropic efforts.

Demonstrate work practices consistent with CHI Health and department specific safety, security and infection control policies.

10-15 years progressive healthcare management experience preferred.

Academic experience highly preferred
Masters Degree in Health Care Administration, Business Administration or a related field is required.
