Enlightened, Inc. is presently seeking to hire a Customer Service Representative I to support our busy inbound call center in Washington, DC. The team will answer all incoming phone calls related to the Paid Family Leave (PFL) Act and the Marion S. Barry Summer Youth Employment Program (MBSYEP).
The ideal candidate will have 2+ years of customer service experience, strong communication skills and the ability to type at least 30+ WPM. Bilingual candidates, recent graduates and Washington DC residents are strongly encouraged to apply.

Primary Duties & Responsibilities:
- Receives, comprehends, provides, and responds to routine informational inquiries and service requests through the use of various communication technologies including but not limited to telephones, e-mail, facsimile, postal mail, and the Internet.
- Respond to customer inquiries when directed while displaying proficient use of the English language and proper grammar techniques.
- Follows all established policies, procedures and written/verbal instructions.
- Ensures all assigned issues are updated and resolved as efficiently and as quickly as possible.
- Maintain and properly document complete and accurate call and case notes.
- All other duties as assigned.
- 2+ years of customer service experience within a call center environment.
- Skilled in the use of Microsoft Office programs (specifically Outlook, Excel, & Word).
- Excellent ability to communicate effectively using the English language in a customer service setting, including verbal and written communication skills.
- Minimum typing speed of 30 WPM with 100% accuracy.
- Inbound Call Center Experience
- Remote Call Center Experience a strong plus
- Washington, DC residents (relocation not included)
- High School Diploma or equivalent
