NVIDIA has continuously reinvented itself over two decades. Our invention of the GPU in 1999 sparked the growth of the PC gaming market, redefined modern computer graphics, and revolutionized parallel computing — with the GPU acting as the brains of computers, robots, and self-driving cars that can perceive and understand the world. Today, we are increasingly known as “the AI computing company.” We're looking to grow our company and build our teams with the smartest people in the world. Join us at the forefront of technological advancement.
NVIDIA's Silicon Operations team is responsible for external manufacturing engagement and supplier management for the foundry. The organization is responsible for providing proactive, agile, high-quality, and cost-effective external manufacturing technology and manufacturing solutions to enable the product introduction and volume ramp seamlessly. This includes foundry sourcing, supplier management, and execution of development and manufacturing operations in partnership with Design Engineering and Supply Chain Operations. It also includes strategy development and orchestration with key stakeholders to shape the silicon supply ecosystem. This is a senior and an impactful management position with accountability for the strategy, identification, technical and operational management of our foundry partners to enable cost-effective high-volume manufacturing. You will collaborate with and support the systems, circuits, design by providing a critical contact and communications channel with various R&D and semiconductor foundries to enable production realization. The role will require an understanding of semiconductor manufacturing, integration, process modules, devices, and materials and a track record of introducing new semiconductor technologies and products into fabs and foundries. Strong network of relevant contacts, teamwork and a problem-solving savvy are required to be successful in this multi-functional role.
What you'll be doing:
Drive and participate in the development of system/process improvements and supply chain solutions across organizational teams.
Collaborate with internal partners to manage silicon suppliers to ensure production readiness, assurance of supply and delivery, cost, performance, and overall quality in support of NPI, MP builds, and sustaining operations.
Develop and execute global supply chain strategies, including driving Requests for Quotes/Supply(RFx)
Oversee the Foundry Engineering and Silicon Failure Analysis groups.
In addition, you will oversee the technical investigative actions for highly complex customer issues, production qualification issues and yield improvement items to ensure proper and prompt resolution. Develop and maintain goals and metrics for existing and new products and report regularly on progress.
Point of contact for foundries regarding product level needs. Collaborate with internal partners to manage foundries relationship, strategy, contractual/SOW engagements. In addition, ensure delivery, cost, performance, and overall quality to pre aligned key performance indices (KPIs) in support of new test chips, prototypes and products.
Drive the foundry on its deliverables and work packages creation such as production data analysis and reports
Report to the Project's senior management team at regular intervals on foundry performance, critical issues, change management and/or mitigation plans
Oversee the analysis of failures and the identification of failure modes at both die and sub-assembly level
Lead or support root cause analysis of field failures and drive design/foundry improvements, as necessary.
What we need to see:
