We are currently seeking a qualified Medical Assistant, for a full time position, to join our "5-Star" Foot and Ankle Team!
This position will be in our Cedar Park location, so proximity should be considered before applying.
We are a growing single specialty office in Cedar Park. A love for people is a must for this job. Top notch customer service is our #1 goal. Candidates with podiatry, orthopedic, and/or Athena EHR experience will be given strong preference & higher salary consideration.
Hourly Rate between $17-$21/ hr. Prior experience will greatly determine hourly pay rate.
Responsibilities
- Patient intake and patient care
- Administrative tasks (answering phones, scanning documents, insurance verification, etc.)
- Prior authorizations/ appointment scheduling
- Clinical triage calls/ follow up patient care
- Patient education for all foot and ankle diagnosis
- Nail care/patient education and instructions
- Proper documentation of patient data
- Patient scheduling
- Performing x-rays (if needed, training and certificate would be provided by employer)
- Employee will be crossed trained in other office departments as needed
We are looking for a dynamic person who will lead by example and contribute to our successful team environment. This position not only includes hands on patient care, but a high volume of data entry for patient charting with our medical software.
