Entry is responsible for various back-office tasks critical to the success of the department. Management of several key business monitors allows preemptive handling of potential concerns. The Logistics team works in a fast-paced and pressured environment, communicating effectively with both colleagues and clients, to identify innovative solutions to their clients most challenging needs.
Essential Job Functions (other duties may be assigned):
Service Provider Compliance Monitoring
- Obtain certificate of insurance & validate proper limits are being held (annually)
- Audit/Obtain signed carrier agreements with each service provider (as needed)
- Monitor carriers CSA scores and report any concerns to management (Quarterly)
Order Entry
- Create/Update orders in TMS from carrier spreadsheets/invoices/etc with 95% accuracy
- Use all available methods if needed (website, dedicated POC, spreadsheets)
- Monitor & communicate to management any abnormal trends
- Communicate to management if >10% of orders left incomplete at the end of shift (daily)
Route Monitoring & Communications
- Complete route comparison daily to identify changes, new routes and/or lost routes & Ensure change log is kept current
- Prompt completion of TMS process for route maintenance
- Confirm suppliers for all assigned routes (excluding known exceptions) are actively using primary TMS system
- Assist in scheduling training for any identified as not using TMS
- Validate that we have signed Routing Instructions for all valid assigned routes (Quarterly)
Shutdown/Holiday Pull Ahead
- Complete/Communicate holiday/pull-ahead guidelines to all parties related to assigned routes, validate all responses received no later than (1) week before specified holiday/shutdown date(s)
- Communicate any exceptions to management immediately
- Ensure 100% response received prior to affected date(s)

Minimum Requirements (education, experience, skills, licenses and/or certifications):
- BA/BS in Business/Transportation or Logistics (preferred)
- 3+ years of operations/transportation logistics experience
- General knowledge of LTL industry (not required, but ideal)
- Enthusiasm for Transportation/Logistics
- Problem solving abilities
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Exceptional customer service skills, including dealing with difficult situations
- Strong PC skills (Microsoft Office suite)
- Creative analytical skills
- Maintain efficiency without compromising quality, safety or environmental standards
- Self-motivated and a great team player with a can-do attitude
- Able to juggle multiple tasks at once and meet deadlines under pressure

Pay: $41,170.00 - $53,910.00 per year
