Job Summary and Mission
Starbucks Internal Audit is seeking a Senior IT Auditor. Our team’s mission is to provide objective risk-based assurance, advice, and insights to enable responsible growth of the Starbucks brand through a risk-informed lens. To accomplish this, we need individuals with IT Audit experience and a passion for data analytics to support our cross-functional audit team. This job involves a combination of executing IT Audits as well as Operational Audits, and supporting our Data Analytics program. Data Analytics responsibilities will focus on developing knowledge of the multiple data environments across the company, and providing analysis solutions to the Internal Audit team and our internal customers.
Summary of Key Responsibilities
Responsibilities and essential job functions include but are not limited to the following:
Perform IT Audit fieldwork, including controls testing and documentation of test results
Support development of the Internal Audit data analytics program to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of audit engagements
Perform tests of design and operating effectiveness over controls as part of the company’s SOX program
Communicate audit issues and advise on remediation action plans
Navigate technology environments to locate, validate, extract, and format data for use of data analytics in audit testing
Guide Internal Audit team members in the use of data analysis and analytic tools in audit assessments
Stay up to date on current business and industry trends
Summary of Experience
Bachelor’s degree in technology, finance, accounting, or related field
A minimum of 3 years of progressive audit experience
Professional certification such as CISA, CISSP, CIA, CPA or comparable industry certification
Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Understanding of concepts related to general IT controls, information system audits, information security, cloud computing, application controls, and technology risks.
Knowledge of how to extract and analyze data
Ability to communicate clearly and concisely, both orally and in writing, across all levels of management
Ability to balance multiple priorities under minimal supervision, while meeting required deadlines
Ability to think critically about new processes and solutions
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Solid understanding of internal audit methodology
Experience working with analytics applications such as ACL, Arbutus, Tableau, etc.
Takes personal responsibility to do the right thing and persists in times of challenge or uncertainty

Understands what drives overall business success and is accountable to prioritize and deliver quality results
Ability to communicate clearly and concisely, both orally and in writing
Ability for limited domestic and international travel
The Following are Preferred
Graduate degree in Technology, Business, Finance or related field
Big 4, public accounting, or consulting experience
Experience performing audits in the Retail, Food & Beverage or e-Commerce industries
Understand and/or working knowledge of robotic process automation (RPA), or statistical/predictive analytics software such as Python, R, SAS is a strong plus
Experience working with Oracle, Hyperion or Archer are desired
Knowledge of industry IT controls frameworks, such as NIST 800-53, ISO 27001, or COBIT
