Tarter Farm and Ranch Equipment is searching for a dynamic and continuous improvement minded Plant Manager. This individual will provide leadership for the successful day-to-day operation of the Tarter Industries manufacturing facility in Liberty, KY. This position requires oversight of approximately 500 management and plant staff, all operations and manufacturing processes including plant safety & environmental requirements, policy implementation, quality standards, plant efficiency, productivity, budgeting, profitability and overall strategic growth. The position will report directly to the Vice President of Operations.

Primary Job Duties and Responsibilities:

Tarter Farm and Ranch Equipment is searching for a dynamic and continuous improvement minded Plant Manager. This individual will provide leadership for the successful day-to-day operation of the Tarter Industries manufacturing facility in Liberty, KY. This position requires oversight of approximately 500 management and plant staff, all operations and manufacturing processes including plant safety & environmental requirements, policy implementation, quality standards, plant efficiency, productivity, budgeting, profitability and overall strategic growth. The position will report directly to the Vice President of Operations.

Primary Job Duties and Responsibilities:

· Oversight of all day to day operations of the plant to insure all policies and procedures are

maintained.

· Implementing facility strategies for growth that align with company-wide strategic initiatives

and providing robust leadership and accountability to attain them.

· Developing and monitoring facility budget, overtime, processes to achieve targets & profits

and capital expenditures

· Utilizing best practice methods insure manufacturing objectives are accomplished in a

timely and cost effective manner and tracking of all performance metrics and objective via

monthly, semi-annual and annual reporting to senior management.

· Implementing cost effective systems to monitor and control operational expenditures,

staffing needs, wages, and salaries.

· Working closely with the quality leadership team to ensure product reliability and

satisfaction is achieved with our customer and suppliers.

· Working with the department management team to ensure raw materials and finished goods

inventory levels are sufficient, on-time shipping is achieved and that freight and repair

expenditures are managed.

· Conducting performance reviews and providing mentoring, coaching and guidance to all

employees.

· Working with the Human Resources, Payroll & Benefits and Environmental, Safety and

Health management teams to insure all company-wide and site policies are implemented,

consistently applied and supported.

· Creating an environment of trust, shared responsibility, teamwork, integrity and ethical

practices to ensure a vibrant and happy workforce.

Knowledge and skills requirements:

· Bachelor’s degree in a manufacturing, engineering or business related field preferred.

· 5+ year’s progressive experience in a key leadership/management role at a manufacturing

facility with a minimum of 100 employees required and 500 + employees preferred.

· Previous profit/loss responsibility for manufacturing with budgets of $5 million at a minimum.

· Highly motivated, results oriented, problem-solving, analytical, organized and driven to

succeed work ethic desired. Previous experience is desired with Kaizen, Lean

Manufacturing and Quality Planning.

· Possess excellent interpersonal skills that fosters strong team building, decision making,

and people management skills.

· Ability to create accountability and to lead by example.

· Demonstrated business acumen and management principles of a large manufacturing

operation and the budgeting, strategic planning and resource allocation skills to succeed.

· Understanding of manufacturing and procurement/supply chain plus Enterprise Resource

Planning (ERP) and Material Resource Planning (MRP) systems.

· Familiarity with industry standard equipment and technical expertise.
