The Director, HR Pharmaceutical Operations has responsibilities for all pharma operations sites globally. This role enables best in class employee experiences by leveraging technology, continued process improvements, and data to enable informed decision making. Ensures that the Pharma Operations Teams deliver effective HR services to their facilities, ensuring excellent delivery and customer service experience to all employees and people leaders. This role is responsible for establishing well performing HR operations that meet key performance indicators, drive productivity improvements and achieves operational excellence as measured internally and externally against benchmarks. The HR leader ensures successful delivery by implementing best in class systems and processes from the portfolio of HR solutions. This role supports the Integrated Supply Chain global strategy and drives continuous improvement mindset in the organization.
This role is part of a team of HR professionals located in the US, EMEA and APAC, with a collaborative and partnership mindset.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Onsite HR Leader for the Round Lake Drug Deliver plant and cluster leader for the Pharma Operations plants.
Partner and collaborate with the people and leadership teams across facilities to build the right organization (structure, talent, culture) that aligns to our opportunities.
Reporting to the Sr. Director, ISC and leading a team of HR professionals within facilities, consults with management on a variety of HR and business-related issues, both strategically and operationally
Direct the work of HR teams while leading and developing strategies and actions for Pharma Operations that align to broader HR and business objectives.
Contributes actively to ISC and Quality strategic plans with an enterprise lens and global perspective.
Collaborates across the HR Model to articulate business needs and partners in delivering solutions in ways that bring value across the enterprise
Monitor and drive performance across HR systems, administrative processes, employee experiences, etc. and implement enhancements in support of continuous improvement for all facilities.
Develop and implement a robust control governance within the HR function inclusive of processes, procedures, operational standard, and systemically driven controls that support compliance with regulatory requirements, company policy requirements and to mitigate identified risks
Assist in the Identification, development, and review of business focused HR metrics. Measure the effectiveness of HR service delivery by developing and ensuring appropriate execution of Key Performance Indicators and other performance measures.
Take ownership of HR value generation through investments in service delivery improvements to increase org effectiveness, employee experience/satisfaction as well as process efficiency and effectiveness.
Lead any required audits/validation of HRS transactions. Examine and verify HRS related data for accuracy and consistency.
Provide executive coaching and development to senior leaders.
Drive an effective reward and recognition strategy that reinforces the culture and behaviors.
Develop and implement measurement systems to determine the impact of HR programs.
Provide coaching and consultation on ER issues.
Drive initiatives to improve efficiencies and cost savings
Drive organization wide talent planning initiatives, in partnership with the Integrated Supply Chain network, including assessment, calibration, development planning and succession planning.
Lean Six sigma and project management experience
Strong leadership and influence skills, and the ability to drive change
Demonstrated ability to build effective working relationships with management team and to coach and influence decision making of senior leaders
Strong project management skills and results orientation
Good business acumen and judgment
Demonstrated ability to help define, translate, and execute on an organization’s strategy
History of delivering results
Excellent communication and listening skills
Solid knowledge of HR strategies, practices, and policies
Demonstrated ability to manage and resolve conflict
Leadership courage and the ability to question the “status quo”, drive innovation and possess a strong level of accountability
Education and/or Experience:
BS in Business with a concentration in HR preferred. Should have at least 8-10 years of HR experience that includes at least 5 years of generalist experience. Health Care, R&D or High Technical equipment background preferred.
