Job Description

The Launch Project Manager supports a cross-functional team in the planning and execution of a pharmaceutical launch plan or major launch initiative. He/she is the primary point of contact responsible to both manage day-to-day progress and support completion of project activities.

Specific responsibilities will include:

  • Creating project plans including work, resource, and timing requirements
  • Directing and supporting project execution while working closely with Medical Affairs, Marketing, Market Access, Clinical Operations, and other functional stakeholders
  • Preparing working documents for the project team, including project status updates, dashboards, internal discussion documents, leadership presentation documents, and Medical / scientific content
  • Preparing for and facilitating project core team and leadership team meetings to review, refine and finalize deliverables
  • Managing relationships and overseeing workstreams with 3rd party vendors
  • Identifying business issues, conducting assessments, and synthesizing content as needed
  • Utilizing project management best practices from planning stage through completion

Requirements - Experience

  • A bachelor’s degree in business, life science or another related field
  • 3-5 years of work experience in the pharmaceutical, life sciences or consulting industries
  • Demonstrated project management experience supporting cross-functional teams
  • Preference will be given to candidates with experience in pharmaceutical marketing, product launch planning, launch management, or launch execution and an advanced degree in business or life sciences

  • Ability to lead and facilitate client discussions
  • Ability to maintain focus and ensure quality deliverables under time pressure
  • Highly competent in Microsoft Office suite

Other Requirements

  • Travel to client locations in the northeast is expected
  • Time zone flexibility is expected (e.g. available to participate in early or late meetings / teleconferences with ex-US clients)
