The Technology team is responsible for all UI/UX design, mobile development, and exploring new technologies for new initiatives. This position will required a self-motivated individual that is looking to apply their UI/UX design skills. This position will assist in driving products forward with the needs of the industry and solving business problems for our customers. This role will put you squarely in the mix between business and technology challenges. Your creativity and innovative solutions will directly impact existing and new product offerings and company initiatives.

Job Description:
REQUIRED SKILLS:
Bachelor’s Degree in Design, Human-Computer Interaction, Computer Science or similar degree or equivalent experience
Relevant work or internship experience in interaction design, user interface design, and user experience research
Experience creating wireframes, interactive mockups and visual designs
Experience or familiarity working with Lean UX in an Agile development process
Experience designing for responsive websites
Proficiency with Adobe Creative Cloud, Sketch, Balsamiq, or other mockup or design tools
Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office products including Word, Excel, Outlook, Access, PowerPoint, Visio
Familiarity with HTML, HTML5 and CSS for rapid prototyping
Familiarity with user interface guidelines and best practices for major platforms (iOS, Android, web) and an understanding of the limitations and tradeoffs of using various development technologies and standards (XHTML, CSS, etc.)
An understanding of user centered design and an ability to integrate design into the creation of new product and service offerings across digital, service and system
Demonstrated ability to review product documentation and collateral for content and accuracy
Solid understanding of mobile platforms and responsive design
Visual design skills with sensitivity to simplicity and clarity
Up-to-date with the latest Web trends, techniques and technologies
Ability to solve problems creatively and efficiently
Excellent communication skills
Be personally motivated, a progressive thinker, and an all-around team player
Ability to travel 25%

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Collaborate with cross-functional team members such as product architects, developers, business stakeholders and customers to develop design end-to-end experiences using participatory and iterative design techniques
Produce wireframes, detailed user experience workflows and interactive design mockups that effectively communicate the intended design based on established personas and journey maps
Conceptualize original ideas that bring simplicity and user friendliness to complex design roadblocks
Craft UX designs for diverse product ranges including web, embedded software, stand-alone applications, and emerging devices
Work with the UI/UX Product Manager to define and develop UI style guides, best practices and design systems while remaining knowledgeable about emerging trends
Preserve branding standards, ensuring visual consistency of website via use of style guides and enforcement of established standards and best practices
Design innovative, refined web solutions from wireframes and creative briefs that are on target with the objectives
Effectively communicate conceptual ideas, design rationale, and the specifics of user centered design process
Create artifacts to enable all design stages from concept to final specification hand-off
Present and defend design concepts and deliverables to peers, management and clients
