St. Luke’s Health System in Boise, Idaho is seeking a Sr. Director Nursing Excellence to join our Center of Nursing Excellence team.
The Senior Director of Nursing Excellence is responsible for aligning nursing initiatives with applicable accrediting bodies to promote exemplary professional practice, transformational leadership, and innovation.
Responsible for designing, coordinating, and monitoring standardized nursing professional practices and professional development, including nursing policies, procedures and protocols, nursing documentation standards, and assuring evidence-based nursing practice
Responsible for ensuring outcomes align with Nursing and Patient Care Strategic Plan.
Provides strategic oversight, to administers and coordinates operational activities including planning, budgeting, staffing, and performance of assigned program(s) throughout the system.
Collaborates with nursing leadership and shared governance leaders/members to implement process improvements that enhance performance outcomes and nursing evidence-based practices
Ensure professional practice standards are integrated into clinical delivery models.
Ensure program(s) compliance with regulations governing hospitals and practice/area/service. Ensure that policy, procedures and standards are developed, implemented and maintained.
Develop projects and initiatives that support innovative pathways to achieve the Nursing and Patient Care Strategic Plan, enhance nursing practice, nursing professional development, improve patient care and quality outcomes
Communicate program priorities, policies, and procedures related to the strategic growth of clinical and system leadership.
Participate in establishing and maintaining communication between nurses, physicians, and other health care professions/ancillary departments.
Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
Master’s degree in nursing or healthcare related field
10 years’ relevant experience
Current RN License in State of Practice
