We're looking for an organized and motivated Senior Accountant to join our team at TJT's Outsource Accounting Services division.
This is a full-time position working with our accounting team, providing accounting support to clients and staff. The Senior Accountant would be responsible for preparing financial reports and journals, developing and performing analysis as well as reconciliations of general ledger accounts; accounting research and providing details as needed. Research month-end variances and assist with the period-end close process. Assist with other time sensitive needs and projects as communicated. Manage applicable accounting policies and procedures as needed. Demonstrate an understanding of GAAP. The Senior Accountant will demonstrate initiative in understanding process flows and controls. This position is responsible for general accounting as well as collaborating with team to make sure deadlines are met and workflow is accurate.
Responsibilities include, but not limited to:
- Retains overall responsibility for all accounting functions including Accounts Receivable, Accounts payable and Payroll
- Perform regular and recurring accounting functions that require professional competence
- Perform month-end closing activities such as preparing and reviewing reconciliations and journal entries
- Generate, analyze, review and communication of financial data that reflects actual finance performance against the budget
- Forecasts and cash management
- Prepare various reports and conduct ad hoc projects as required
- Document accounting procedures and transactions to be used for financial management procedures
- Propose suggestions to improve efficiency and effectiveness as well as strengthening controls
Qualifications:
- Three (3) to five (5) years of accounting experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting/Finance or equivalent work experience
- Ability to administer accounting functions with general supervision
- Proficient in the use of accounting systems and software and Excel
- Strong attention to detail
- Ability to adjust priorities to meet deliverables and deadlines
- Solid understanding of GAAP and thorough knowledge of general ledger accounting
- Excellent analytical, decision-making, problem-solving and research skills
- Ability to work independently and coach/mentor others in order to corroborate data and meet tight deadlines
- Proven ability to meet deadlines in a fast paced environment
- Demonstrate strong interpersonal skills as well as excellent oral and written communication skills
- SAGE Intact experience preferred

Pay: $50,000.00 - $65,000.00 per year
