Seeking a part to full-time intern or doctoral level psych assistant at Veritas Centers, LLC using tele-therapy registered in California with the board of behavioral science.
Primary responsibilities would be direct client care: individual therapy, family therapy and case management using evidenced based modalities (i.e., CBT, DBT).
A licensed clinician is available to provide supervision and sign off on hours. We are looking for someone who is compassionate, can establish good rapport with clients, strong with documentation, great communicator, able to work with a multidisciplinary team and has a positive attitude.
The intern must have good professional boundaries and be able to handle complex cases at times. It is a great training opportunity to see a diverse array of clientele and work closely with a collaborative team.
Minimum requirements: ASW, AMFT (associate interns) Must have associate registration number
Responsibilities:
Uphold and enforce our standards, policies and procedures, client rights, and professional code of ethics and conduct
Conduct clinical evaluation, psychosocial assessment, client diagnosis and Prepare person-centered treatment plans, case management, consultation, education, and referral as needed
Provide therapeutic interventions including crisis counseling to individuals, groups and families as needed
Evaluate the individual and family systems as well as assess client’s functioning within work, family and routines of daily living and identifies areas needing continued support, resources and treatment in order to assist clients
Develop, implement, and maintain partnerships with other community providers
Maintain Electronic Health Records to reflect course of treatment and provide
Prepare pre-certification/authorization clinical information to insurance utilization case managers and subsequent concurrent review (continued stay) clinical reports per medical necessity criteria
Provide follow-up and aftercare planning services as needed
Expeditiously discharge inactive clients
Provide emergency crisis services during work hours and after hours as necessary
Attend staff meetings, supervisory conferences, training, and other activities, which ensure effective and efficient functioning of clinical operations
Adhere to code of ethics, legal aspects of clinical practice, professional standards, duty to warn, abuse and neglect reporting policies and procedures, and exercise professionalism at all times
Exercise awareness in cultural competency, client satisfaction, quality of services, client needs, and overall health and safety staff and clients.
Creating clinical notes to Joint Commission and insurance standards on a timely basis
