SUMMARY: The Field Service Technicians report to the Manager, Field Services, and are a critical component of our service to customers. They are responsible for assembling lubrication systems per customer specifications, and for installing, maintaining and troubleshooting finished systems at customer locations across the United States.

Responsibilities and Duties

Perform installation, maintenance, repair and troubleshooting of Sloan lubrication systems at customer locations.
Assist with diagnosing system and component failures accurately and efficiently; propose innovative solutions.
Work with customer and company resources to quickly address system issues in order to meet required functionality and deadlines.
Represent Sloan in a professional manner while delivering outstanding customer service in accordance with Sloan core values.
Install small-diameter stainless-steel tubing connecting lubrication systems to customer equipment using established techniques and in accordance with guidelines for efficiency and aesthetics.
Submit accurate and detailed field service reports, expense reports, time sheets and other necessary documentation by specified deadlines and in accordance with predefined parameters.
Travel 60-70% as needed, by company vehicle or by air, including nights, weekends, and holidays, sometimes on short notice.
Complete jobs with a high level of quality, to specifications, and on time.
Maintain necessary training certifications and industry compliance requirements.
Qualifications and Skills

Familiarity with assembling, testing and maintaining machinery and mechanical equipment.
Mechanical ability in general fabrication, welding, combustion engine maintenance, industrial lubrication, tube bending, machinery operation, quality inspection, and industrial system installations.
Mechanical aptitude, attention to detail, quality and safety minded.
Basic computer skills including email, internet and computer and online navigation.
Ability to communicate clearly, verbally and in writing, with colleagues and customers.
High level of integrity, honesty, and desire to do the right thing for the company and customers.
Ability to read, understand and interpret instructions, specifications, and work processes.
High School diploma or equivalent is required.
Must pass a Fit for Duty examination to demonstrate physical capabilities required for the position.
Maintain good driving record.
