The Manager, Learning, Development and Careers will be responsible for designing and managing various leadership and development programs and initiatives for all levels of our organization. This person will partner with the business, HR, and external vendors to ensure that we are providing our high-value talent that tools and resources they need to be the future leaders of our organization.
In this role, the successful candidate will translate our leadership framework into programs and initiatives that allow associates at all levels of the organization to development and grow in their careers.
The successful candidate must have demonstrated experience in the design, implementation, management and measurement of leadership and development programs.
Partner with team and external vendors to design, implement, and evaluate leadership development programs that results in improved health of succession pipeline and develops high-value talent (HVT) to be future leaders of our organization and support R1’s growth and success.
Program manage executive leadership development program to ensure efficacy and high level of quality; recommending any necessary changes and improvements for subsequent years.
Partner with business leaders and HR to deliver best-in-class, comprehensive leadership development education and experiences for all levels of the organization.
Design, build and ensure delivery of focused development content and curriculum to create the future leaders of R1.
Facilitate leadership development sessions.
Provide coaching to non-executive level employees and help guide them through the application of their learning.
Consult with business leaders to understand their leadership and management development needs for input and the appropriate sponsorship, engagement and alignment.
Track and drive measures of success/impact such as: business results, ROI, enhanced talent pipeline, retention and new behaviors clearly demonstrated.
Leverage multiple delivery methods (ILT, virtual ILT, video, online, social learning etc.) to ensure training is easy to consume and take into account limited employee capacity.
Partner with external vendors where appropriate and manages budget and vendor agreements.
Work with HR and business leaders to establish eligibility criteria and manage the participant selection process.
Bachelor’s Degree in HR, adult learning/education or psychology, or equivalent professional experience required
At least 5 years of relevant experience
Knowledge of Adult Learning Theory, Instructional Strategies and Learning Assessments
Demonstrated performance in leadership development strategy, design and implementation
Ability to establish strong presence with executives at all levels
Extensive experience in the design, management and facilitation of leadership development programs and courses in multiple modalities
