Mindcracker is seeking to have a qualified MS SQL Server DBA join an active project for one of our financial services clients. This is a part-time remote consulting engagement that requires a Sr. DBA to provide production support for enterprise database applications.
SQL Server Database Administrators are responsible for the implementation, configuration, maintenance, and performance of critical SQL Server RDBMS systems. Their main goal is to ensure the availability and consistent performance of various corporate applications:
- Manage SQL Server databases
- Configure and maintain database servers and processes
- Monitor system's health and performance utilizing ticketing system to ensure issues are addressed in timely manner.
- Ensure high levels of performance, availability, sustainability and security
- Analyze, solve, and correct issues in real time
- Provide suggestions for solutions
- Refine and automate regular processes, track issues, and document changes
- Assist developers with query tuning and schema refinement
- Provide support for critical production systems
- Perform scheduled maintenance and support release deployment activities after hours
Pay: $65-$75 hr
Contract: 6-9 months
Hours: 10 hrs weekly/ 40 hrs monthly - Remote
