Founded in 1979, Hospice Savannah, Inc. is the original, not-for-profit hospice helping patients and their families throughout Bryan, Chatham, Effingham, Liberty and Long counties. QUALIFICATIONS: High School graduate or equivalent, 1-2 years of general office work and previous medical records experience with additional medical records training or education preferred. Completion of a basic medical terminology course preferred. Above average computer skills to include Microsoft Windows, Word, Excel, Outlook software preferred. Excellent verbal, written, and telephone skills needed. Current GA driver’s license and automobile insurance required.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS: Position requires intense visual concentration, reading and typing on a computer. Position requires a full range of motion bending, twisting and turning while performing filing requirements. May be required to lift up to 20 lbs. Position does not require any heavy lifting.
ENVIRONMENT: This position works a general office schedule 8:30 a.m. – 3:00 p.m., Monday through Friday with occasional requests to work additional days as needed. This position may require commuting between the Hospice Savannah main office and branches. This position carries a minimal risk of exposure to infectious diseases.
