The Director of Research at Allegiance Health provides the strategic vision for the growth of research at Allegiance Health. In this role, the Director will assess potential research, ensure good clinical practices in development and management of studies, and promotes research within Allegiance Health and the community.
Minimum Work Experience:
Five (5) years experience in research with progressive management experience.
Must complete or show proof of certification on “Good Clinical Practice” and “Protecting Human Subjects as Research Participants” before completion of orientation.
Required Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities:
Comprehensive knowledge of research processes, design, statistics, and methodology required.
Ability to read and understand scientific documents and to write funding proposals required.
Interpersonal skills necessary to interact effectively with a wide variety of Health System and external agency personnel required.
Analytical skills necessary to interpret and analyze various reports and to ensure that research projects comply with funding agency guidelines requires.
Computer skills which will accommodate word processing, data management and spreadsheet development as necessary.
Clinical skills and knowledge of clinical practices and systems required.
