Duties:
- Assist the dentist during dental procedures
- Prepare treatment rooms, instruments, and materials for dental procedures
- Take and develop dental x-rays
- Perform patient assessments and record medical histories
- Provide patient education on oral hygiene and post-operative care
- Maintain and update patient records using Epic or other electronic medical record systems
- Assist with medical coding and documentation for insurance billing purposes
- Use CAD/CAM technology for designing and fabricating dental restorations
- Provide chairside assistance to the dentist during procedures
- Sterilize and maintain dental instruments and equipment
Skills:
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately
- Proficiency in using electronic medical record systems, such as Epic
- Knowledge of medical coding and documentation practices
- Familiarity with CAD/CAM technology for dental restorations
- Ability to work well in a team environment and collaborate with other dental professionals
Please note that experience working with pediatric patients is preferred but not required.
