Description of Office Setting

  • Work with a licensed psychologist in an outpatient private practice that has existed for 34 years and continues to expand. Services are provided to adults, adolescents, couples and families. The practice has an excellent reputation with local referrals and from Philadelphia and North Jersey. People have flown in from Florida, California and Texas to have evaluations. There are additional behavioral health professionals in this group practice. Interesting job to work as a psychology assistant and work in an outpatient behavioral psychotherapy practice of 34 years. Provide biofeedback and test services. There is a total staff of 11 that includes clinicians and administrative assistant. We do not treat any psychotic patients. You would assist a Psychologist who has published a number 1 Amazon paperback bestseller.

Job Description and Responsibilities

  • Has the abilities to provide services so the psychologist can focus exclusively on professional responsibilities and goals.
  • Assist in providing services for patients who have PTSD, anxiety, depression and phobias.
  • Help chronic pain patients to adjust and learn coping skills.
  • Provide biofeedback services and cognitive rehabilitation
  • Review and organize medical reports.
  • Perform other duties as assigned to meet program or organizational objectives
  • Psychological test administration and scoring.
  • Excellent administrative staff
  • Able to work with Microsoft Word and Excel
  • Will be trained in all aspects of the job.


  • Need bachelor’s degree with a major in psychology, social work or behavioral health-related field.
  • Candidate has to be a responsible, smart, flexible and resourceful.
  • Able to work one on one and be a self-starter.
  • Ability to be organized and multi task necessary.
  • Legible handwriting in order to provide documentation.
  • Must maintain accurate, timely and comprehensive records
  • Able to maintain consistent concentration during work shift.
  • Can work till the early evening on certain days.
  • Very good Internet and computer skills.
  • Ability to do research on the web.
  • Some experience with social media preferred.
  • Valid New Jersey automobile license, use of own auto, and proof of NJ insurance necessary.
  • Competitive hourly rate 40 hours/week
  • Maintains excellent and consistent work to qualify for bonuses
  • One year of experience in a behavioral health setting preferred, but no necessary

  • Need to have good communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to concentrate for long periods of time over a work shift
