Edgewater Federal Solutions is currently seeking a Cyber Security Analyst to provide support to Edgewater Federal government contracts.
Evaluate current Federal cyber security programs in accordance with NIST-800 Special Publications and provide recommendations for instituting a compliant cyber security program
Implement the NIST Assessment and Authorization Process
Assist ISSM with addressing cyber security audit/assessment findings
Assist ISSM with achieving an Authority to Operate (ATO) for all Federal systems
Develop system security plans, continuity of operations documents, contingency plans, change management plans, incident response plans and security test and evaluation plans
Document security test and evaluation results, develop and recommend corrective actions, and document residual risk and risk assessments
Conduct vulnerability scans and penetration tests, analyze results, and provide recommendations to improve the security posture
Analyze results of security scans and penetration tests to develop solutions for remediating or mitigating security vulnerabilities
Analyze current security operations and provide recommendations for improvement
Drive the adoption of IT security best practices
Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college in Cyber Security, Information Assurance or similar discipline
GIAC Information Security Professional (GISP), ISC2 Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP), GIAC Security Essentials (GSEC) or equivalent
Individual will typically have a minimum of 5 years of experience in planning, coordinating, and implementing security measures to protect the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of data and information systems
US Citizen and ability to obtain a public trust credential
Working knowledge of network technologies such as Windows and Linux Operating Systems; database security; active directory; service-oriented architectures; vulnerability and penetration testing; networking protocols and topologies; security architectures; and incident management.
Familiarity with virtual server technology, Microsoft server technologies and/or cloud infrastructure.
Experience with FISMA regulations, NIST special publications, FIPS publications, and 0MB circular A-130
Demonstrated ability to analyze, recommend and apply technology solutions to meet the security control
Skills in technical writing, verbal communication, organization, problem analysis, and resolution.
Broad knowledge of IT Security best practices, fundamental computer science concepts, computer security concepts, and networking.
