Kimball Midwest, a national distributor of maintenance, repair and operation products, is searching for a Credit and Collections Specialist in our Credit/Collections Department for our Columbus, OH location. We are looking for a hardworking, motivated, and customer focused individual.
Our Credit and Collections Specialist will be responsible for the maintenance of customer accounts through collection activity and account research. Other responsibilities include supporting company growth objectives through effective job performance and communication skills and also performing special projects and/or analysis as determined by the Credit & Collections Manager. Experience with Business to Business collections and knowledge of receivables is a plus.

This position requires a minimum of two years credit and collections and/or customer service experience or a four-year college degree
This position requires the ability to maintain a strong working relationship with sales representatives assigned to them
This position requires the ability to perform extensive work over the telephone
This position requires some knowledge of general invoicing procedures
This position requires working knowledge of data processing applications
This position requires significant computer literacy—specifically Microsoft Office
This position requires the ability to effectively problem solve and work independently
This position requires the ability to effectively communicate with sales representatives, customers, vendors, coworkers, supervisors and managers; in written and verbal form
This position requires the ability to handle confidential information and use discretion while performing job tasks
This position requires the ability to read and write small letters and numbers; the ability to make arithmetic calculations; and the ability to understand written and oral instructions
This position requires an individual who is dependable (i.e. reports to work daily, barring any unforeseen circumstances)
This position will sometimes require the ability to perform several tasks simultaneously
This position requires the ability to respond quickly to problems, and the ability to work in a stressful environment
This position has rotating hours. The start time is anywhere from 8:00am-9:30am with different ending times. This is an 8 hour, Monday-Friday position.
