First Scribe, an award-winning Minneapolis digital agency, is seeking an experienced Business Development Director to join our dynamic and growing team. You might be a great fit if you:

Our culture is focused on growth, driving accountable results, and bringing creative fun to everything we do. This position is 40+ hours with very little travel outside of metro area.

What You’ll be doing:
  • Listening to, cultivating, and nurturing prospects
  • Prospecting via email, phone, and face-to-face meetings
  • Developing and following leads to produce real sales results
  • Documenting all sales activity in HubSpot
  • Working with Marketing team to develop a strategy to drive high quality prospects
  • Developing and following the sales process
  • Delighting the prospect through every part of the buying journey
Tasks:
  • New business acquisition, together with the business development team
    • Identification and solicitation of prospects
    • Cold/Warm calling and network development
    • Develop and present proposals
    • Structure Deals and Pricing in line with the our Pricing Strategy
  • Maintain connection with prospects
  • Seek opportunities via RFP resources
  • Conduct preliminary prospect/category research
  • Schedule, plan, and conduct prospect meetings
Performance Metrics:
  • Prospect activity increase (contacts, meetings, proposals)
  • New client revenue growth (sales)
  • Increase business opportunities
  • Great Remarks during 360 Peer Feedback with Marketing team
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business Management or Equivalent
  • Proven 10+ Years of Sales Experience (preferably with an agency)
  • Familiarity with Digital Marketing and Websites
  • Comfortable interpreting data into meaningful insights
  • Team player able to work under pressure
  • Entrepreneurial, resourceful, and creative
  • Up-to-date knowledge of technology, the web, and digital marketing
  • Excellent presentation and writing skills
  • Able to foster solid personal relationships
  • Well-networked and adept at social communication tools
  • Organized and detail oriented
  • MS Office proficiency
