Full Job Description
Summary: Facilitates data collection through concurrent and retrospective review in order to address quality measures provided by payers. Responsible for maintaining timely upkeep of the data abstraction, analysis and reporting for physician specific data. Duties may include medical record review in current EHR, Legacy systems, and/or third party vendors. Communicates with physicians and clinic staff to assist them with healthcare gaps. Works collaboratively with the Clinical Outcomes team to achieve the desired outcomes for improved patient care.
Education: Must have completed a medical assistant program.
Licensure/Certification: Medical Assistant certification preferred or must obtain within the first three years in this position.
Experience: Three years of clinical office experience preferred. EHR systems experience (prefer EPIC). Proficient in use of basic software programs i.e. Excel and Word. Must be able to type 40 wpm with 98 accuracy. Must have good verbal and written communication skills. Must be detail oriented and performs tasks at a high rate of accuracy.
