About the Role

This role reports to Uber's Head of Strategic Initiatives, Accounting and is responsible for assisting in the project managing of all the internal preparation by the finance team and other business partners for an IPO by supporting the development of the necessary processes and information gathering to enable a successful public offering. Additionally, this role will assist in managing the finance, accounting and tax M&A due diligence, and post close accounting management processes. Further, will be an integral part of the project management of many other accounting & finance special projects as we continue to move towards establishing a scalable and efficient finance organization.

What You’ll Do

Assist in managing the company's internal IPO Readiness project and work with finance/other business partners in order to:
Develop timelines with key stakeholders
Serve as key coordinator / POC for the IPO readiness working group
Execute on key deliverables required for a successful IPO filing
Assist in the development of processes, policies and procedures required of a public company
Assist with accounting implications on equity, debt and M&A and other strategic transactions
Coordination with Accounting, Finance, Legal, HR, Engineering and Internal Audit as needed based upon the nature of the transaction being considered
Benchmark and research peer companies and summarize and present relevant information to key stakeholders including executives
Role will be closely aligned with senior members of both the Accounting and Finance functions at the Company

What You’ll Need

Bachelor degree in Finance/Accounting or related discipline
7+ years working experience in accounting/advisory role
Exposure to IPO and other offering memorandum processes beneficial but not required
Experience in a Big 4 firm serving public clients highly desired. Relevant experience includes: Financial Statement Audit with exposure to transactions (IPOs, debt offerings, acquisitions, divestitures), Financial Due Diligence, Operational Transaction Advisory (integrations, divestitures), Capital Markets Advisory
Exposure to technology industry desired but not required
Strong project management and presentation skills
Ability to take complex or technical information and cleary summarize for executive consumption
Detail minded, analytical, logical
Critical thinking and problem solving skills
Great communication skills
