Azure Management and Security Product Management. Azure is growing rapidly as enterprise customers adopt the cloud and build hybrid solution. Management & security technologies are critical for enterprise adoption of the cloud. Microsoft has a unique go to market as we deliver management and security technologies baked into the Azure cloud platform. You will lead the disclosure process for the Azure security & management services, create the narrative for hybrid management and security, be on point with the GEP team and ensure the continued success of System Center. To get this done you are focused on business outcomes, you are great at cross-group collaboration, you are a natural simplifier and you deliver high quality marketing content. Note this role does not require significant technical expertise but rather needs a great marketer.


Areas of responsibility include: • Drive the disclosure process for Azure Security & Management including bringing together the roadmap, crafting the story in collaboration with team members, working with PR on timing and planning • Craft the IT operations focused story for Azure Security & Management and collateral with a focus on hybrid, intelligent and built-in services. In so doing partner with the engineering leader to create content for presentations at conferences such as Ignite, Ready etc. • Own the relationship with the GEP team to ensure we have the right web-casts and content integrated within the IaaS nuture emails • Own System Center marketing specifically focused on revenue retention, offers, roadmap, support, digital properties and disclosure. Note engineering leads on technical aspects such as content, demos etc. This role is more strategy centered. (maximum 25%-time commitment)


Basic Qualifications: • 3 years of experience marketing commercial software to business users and IT Preferred Qualifications: • Knowledge of one or more Microsoft applications a definite plus • Excellent communication skills, high degree of accountability with willingness to take measured risks and set bold goals • Proven capability to deliver world class marketing content, including value proposition, evidence, blogs, whitepapers & presentations for identified scenarios, products/features and segments/audiences • Drive for results and action oriented • Ability to translate solutions understanding into a compelling story for customers’ that clearly articulates Microsoft’s strategy, benefits and differentiation when using Azure’s services • Ability to analyze and diagnose complex product and business challenges, formulate solutions, and then motivate the broader organization to pragmatic action • Desire to be involved in a development stage business with an entrepreneurial bias • Proven capability to develop strong working relationships with customers, senior executives, engineering teams, and other product and marketing groups across Microsoft • Experience and a track record of success in product marketing or product management is essential. The ability to drive with autonomy in a high-visibility environment is a must-have skill, as is the ability to collaborate across org boundaries. Knowledge of how enterprises buy and use commercial applications is a big plus. The candidate must also have: • B.A./B.S in Computer Science, Marketing or related field Computer Information Systems, preferred • M.B.A or related work experience
