My Accountant is a full service accounting office working mostly with small businesses. We provide bookkeeping, payroll, sales tax reporting and annual tax returns for businesses and individuals. Your typical day would involve bank reconciliations for various businesses, assisting bookkeepers with questions, clean-up of Quickbooks for new clients, some tasks for payroll and/or sales tax returns and answering client questions.

The necessary qualifications include:

  • 3-5 years experience as full charge bookkeeper with Quickbooks
  • Ability to read and understand Profit and Loss Statements and Balance Sheet
  • Ability to review a set of books, identify issues and reclass/clean up books for year end.
  • Ability to start a company on quickbooks from scratch.
  • Ability to reconcile payroll checks and payroll liabilities in Quickbooks
  • Must be able to multi-task and work on a variety of projects as needed
  • Must be deadline driven and customer service oriented
  • Flexibility and strong work ethic required
  • Experience with preparing individual tax returns
  • Experience preparing 1120, 1120S and 1065 tax returns is a plus
  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting
